Hurley, Converse revenues grow in Q2

Nike Inc. executives released a few details about the performance of Hurley and Converse during the second quarter.

Nike Inc. held an earnings conference call this afternoon, and released a few details about Hurley’s performance.

 

The company said Hurley revenues grew double digits in the quarter ended Nov. 30, as did the revenues of Converse, Cole Haan and Umbro, also brands that Nike puts in its “other” businesses category.

 

Overall, “Other” businesses revenue grew 13% to $631 million.

 

Nike did not break out specific results for Nike action sports, but indicated the category grew during the quarter.

 

The company said all Nike brand categories except sportwear grew during the quarter.

 

Overall, Nike Inc. revenue rose 10% to $4.8 billion. In constant currency, revenues grew 11%.

 

Net income increased 22% to $457 million.

 

Nike ended the quarter with $4.8 billion in cash and short term investments.
