SIA to Recognize 2011 SnowSports Retailer and Rep Award Winners at SIA Snow Show
WASHINGTON, DC (January 17, 2012) – SnowSports Industries America (SIA) is proud to announce the winners of the 2011 SIA SnowSports U.S Retailers and Reps of the Year and the Canadian SnowSports Reps of the Year Award Winners.
The winners will be honored at the 2012 SIA Snow Show Awards Ceremony held Friday, January 27th at 6pm at the Colorado Ski Country USA Central Food Court and Lounge, booth number 2132. Awardees were chosen based on specific criteria and for consistently making a significant impact in the snow sports industry.
Retailer nominees in the U.S. hailed from seven different regions and were voted on by suppliers and reps in the snow sports industry. Winners of the Canadian accolades came from five different territories in their country.
The SIA U.S. Retailer of the Year Award is based upon a shop’s contribution to the growth of the snow sports industry, its promotional and marketing techniques and its success in the ski, snowboard, tele, cross country and/or snowshoe marketplace. The award winners are nominated and selected by suppliers and reps in the snow sports industry.
The SIA U.S. and Canadian SnowSports Regional Rep of the Year recognizes reps in the snow sports industry that have successfully fostered relationships with retail storefronts to help move winter sports products. Nominations for this accolade came from snow sports retailers in the industry. The award winners are nominated and selected by retailers in the snow sports industry.
