Nikki Houston named show manager for Trade Elements at The Boardroom International Surfboard Show

(Encinitas, California) GLM is happy to announce that after a four-year absence, Nikki Houston is returning to the Surf Expo group as Show Manager For Trade Elements at The Boardroom International Surfboard Show. During her previous nine-year tenure at Surf Expo, Nikki worked as an account executive, managing the Surf, Wake, Wind, Kite and Skate areas of the show. She also served on the SIMA Advisory Board as the Surf Expo representative.

(Encinitas, California) GLM is happy to announce that after a four-year absence, Nikki Houston is returning to the Surf Expo group as Show Manager For Trade Elements at The Boardroom International Surfboard Show. During her previous nine-year tenure at Surf Expo, Nikki worked as an account executive, managing the Surf, Wake, Wind, Kite and Skate areas of the show. She also served on the SIMA Advisory Board as the Surf Expo representative.

The reputation of The Boardroom is incredible and I look forward to bringing an enhanced show experience to not only consumers, but to retailers and brands as well.”

 

The Boardroom’s goal is to spotlight, celebrate and exalt the shapers, the sanders, the polishers, the chemists, the fin gurus, the artists, the ding kings, the CAD experts, the futurists — all the people who make up the modern day surfboard industry. GLM will hold two shows for The Boardroom in 2013: an event in Orange County, California in the summertime and an event Co-located with Surf Expo September 6-8 in Orlando, Florida. As previously announced, The Boardroom in California has been expanded to include trade-only days designed for top retail buyers from around the country.

 

Houston departed Surf Expo in 2008 to further her career as a Group Show Director for the Imprinted Sportswear Shows, where she was responsible for all aspects of the group’s seven regional shows. As Show Manager For Trade Elements at The Boardroom, Nikki will partner with Scott Bass, The Boardroom’s founder and events director, to direct sales for the trade component of the show. Her first day will be February 1.
