A busy Agenda got underway Tuesday at the Long Beach Convention Center, with a large cast of brand executives and retailers on hand at the show.
Several newer industry leaders made appearances, including new Billabong CEO Neil Fiske and (newish) Quiksilver CEO Andy Mooney.
Down the aisle from Billabong, former Billabong executive Paul Naude officially launched new brands Vissla and D’Blanc.
And we learned of several executive changes during the course of the day, including:
* Lydia Ballesteros, RVCA VP of Merchandising and Design, has taken the VP of Merchandising role at the new women’s brand being launched by Summer Rapp, Mandy Fry and Paul Naude.
* Brent Lantz, Element VP of Sales, has moved to Volcom to handle core specialty and snow sales, reuniting with Kevin Meehan, the new Volcom President of North America. The two had previously worked together at Analog for several years until the streetwear portion of the brand was discontinued to focus on outerwear.
* Travis Ford, who managed Quiet Flight and then West 49, both owned by Billabong, has taken a new role as VP/GM of Element.
* Jason Shelton has left Quiksilver to head up sales for the Billabong brand in the U.S.
We had lots of interesting conversations at Agenda, and we have a collection of who and what we saw above in our slide show.
