Element Global GM Frank Voit has stepped down from that role and the company is searching for a candidate to replace him.

Before becoming Global GM, Frank previously led Element Europe, which doubled its sales in the region during his tenure. Europe is Element’s biggest territory.

A Billabong spokesman said while Frank will no longer work as the brand’s global GM, he still is working within the Billabong organization.

Founder Johnny Schillereff remains a part of the Element team.

“Frank Voit and the Element leadership team have made steady progress in building the brand and implementing our strategy over the last three years,” a Billabong spokesman said.

“Frank believes wholeheartedly in the team, the brand and its potential, but after talking with CEO Neil Fiske about its future direction has decided to step down as Global General Manager. He continues to work within the business.

“Johnny owns the creative vision of the brand globally and has and will continue to be actively involved.

“Given our strong ties in the action sports and skate arena, we have already started the recruiting process for a Global GM based in Irvine, CA. The process has been fast-tracked in order to limit any business disruption, transition arrangements are in place and all of this has been communicated internally.

“Element very much remains a focus of growing the big three brands and we’re already getting a high level of interest from potential candidates wanting to take it to the next level.”
