The program offers both peer-to-peer marketplace and brand-owned inventory.

Faherty, the family-owned premium clothing and lifestyle brand, and Archive, which powers customized resale at scale for global brands, today announced they have partnered to launch Second Wave. The new resale program allows customers to buy and sell preloved Faherty clothing through a peer-to-peer marketplace site and will also list repaired and renewed brand-owned inventory.

“We have always been committed to greater circularity and we are thrilled to partner with Archive to launch Second Wave,” said Kerry Docherty, Co-Founder and Chief Impact Officer, Faherty. “The program will give our customers multiple ways to shop for, enjoy and extend the lives of preloved Faherty items. Because long-lasting quality is at the core of what we do, we believe our product only gets better with age. Resale is a natural next step in our growth as a brand that has always taken its responsibility to our customers and the planet seriously.”

Second Wave represents another pillar in Faherty’s commitment to minimizing its own—and the fashion industry’s—impact on the environment. The company aims to create long-lasting clothes from responsible materials, including recycled and renewable fabrics and lower-impact dyes and finishes. In addition, Faherty uses plastic-free and responsibly sourced packaging, purchases renewable electricity for all its stores, offers complimentary repairs, and works to keep all fabric scraps and products out of landfills.

“Faherty is a brand renowned for its great quality and commitment to minimizing its impact on the planet,” said Emily Gittins, CEO and Co-founder of Archive. “We’re proud to power the brand’s Second Wave resale program to give customers new ways to shop for and enjoy Faherty clothing.”

Second Wave gives the brand an outlet to sell owned inventory, including returns, damaged items and samples. These items will be cleaned and repaired if necessary before listing and the resale program ensures the like-new items remain in circulation. The online marketplace represents the first phase of Second Wave and Faherty plans to expand the program in the future to include end-of-life recycling solutions.
