Surf charter company Indies Trader’s Apparel Division is proud to announce the brick-and-mortar launch of its apparel in South Florida with the iconic core surf retailer, Island Water Sports.
“Anyone who knows surf and knows South Florida will know Island Water Sports and the legacy created by Kirk and Lucinda Cotteral. The family children, Cheyne, Carly, and Linsey, continue to carry the torch today. For a core surf operation like Indies Trader, it’s a natural fit” says Indies Trader’s partner, Chris Wagaman. “When we set out to launch the brand here in the USA, we were looking to partner with only a few legacy stores like IWS to join forces for many reasons. We chose to partner with IWS first as we move up the Eastern seaboard because we wanted an operation that understood surfing heritage and would provide a platform for us to tell the Indies Trader story. We have many surf stories and IWS checks all the boxes Customers can see our products online, but nothing beats the experience of visiting a core surf retailer to get the actual look and feel of our products and speak to somebody who actively uses them”.
The current line is represented in-store and there will be a small fleece and long sleeve injection line due for release in the coming weeks ahead. As we move into spring our focus will be on bottoms that function to pair with our graphic package.
