O’NEILL WOMENS is proud to announce LIV STONE is joining their athlete roster. O’Neill Women’s is dedicated to promoting authenticity, athleticism, and an inclusive surf culture. Liv joins the team to help expand the brands Women of the Wave platform and develop an adaptive ambassador program for the brand.

Liv is a congenital, bilateral, above-the-elbow amputee with two fingers on each of her small hands, Liv won her first International Surfing Association (ISA) World Para Surfing Championship Gold Medal at age 17. She went on to win two more consecutive Gold Medals and is determined to keep her streak against the world’s best para surfers going.
Liv tried many sports growing up in small town Pennsylvania she enjoyed them all, but felt like she didn’t quite find her passion. When she was 14 years old, she surfed her first wave in California and instantly felt an amazing connection to the ocean. She convinced her parents to make a move to Oceanside, CA in 2019, where she trained and competed to earn a spot on Team USA’s Para Surf team.

I look up to a lot of their other athletes and I am honored to be given this opportunity to now call them teammates. I can’t wait to see this relationship / partnership grow. Liv is a powerful advocate for her community of people with disabilities, and works closely with the challenged Athletes Foundation to raise awareness about the many talents and contributions people with different abilities want to share. The World Surf League invited Liv to compete in their very first women’s adaptive heat in the Super Girl Pro, where she won first place. Additionally, Live worked with the WSL to organize the inclusion of adaptive surfers at the Malibu World Longboard Championships this past fall.
O’Neill Women’s continues to build a strong, authentic, and inclusive, surf community through their Women of the Wave platform which celebrates all women and their love for the ocean.
