Donovan Mitchell opened the doors of Stance X Donovan Mitchell at City Creek Center, a unique retail concept that the brand and Jazz guard co-designed and merchandised to bring his personality and projects to life in one space.
Along with his own Stance collaborations and Jazz merchandise, the store features his favorite Stance socks and underwear, as well as his signature product from other brand partners, like Adidas and New Era. Guests who visit Stance X Donovan Mitchell can explore a curated selection of his personal memorabilia, have the opportunity to buy limited edition signed merchandise when it drops, and pick up a free BODYARMOR drink, courtesy of Donovan.
“It’s been so much fun working with Stance to see this all come together,” said Mitchell, whose three previous Stance sock collections have all sold out within 48-hours of release. “To be able to go beyond a typical retail store and shine a bigger light on projects and moments that I love has been really gratifying and I’m excited to share it with the people in Utah who have been so good to me.”
Mitchell joined the Stance family as a ‘Punk & Poet’ in 2017, and besides a long list of notable creatives and cultural icons such as Rihanna and Jimmy Chin, he is one of five NBA players on Stance’s Punk & Poet roster including Dwyane Wade, Allen Iverson, James Harden, and Klay Thompson.
“When we had the idea to do Punk & Poet collaboration stores, Donovan in Salt Lake City was at the top of our list,” said Clarke Miyasaki, Chief Growth Officer of Stance. “Not only is he special to Utah, but Utah is special to us because of the many partners and people there who have given Stance such tremendous support. We felt like this was the perfect place and the perfect person to do it with.”
Stance X Donovan Mitchell is the second Punk & Poet collaboration store to be opened by the company. The first, Stance X Jaden Smith, is a 6-month popup that debuted in September on La Brea in Los Angeles. Stance X Donovan will be open indefinitely.
