San Diego’s premier Surf, Skate and Music + Festival will be going down at Belmont Park in Mission Beach on Sunday, October 16th. The Sun Diego Am Slam Surf & Skate Series presented by Billabong, RVCA, Quiksilver and Roxy is our largest event of the year with over $10,000 up for grabs in the Pro-Am divisions. The Am Slam is the only amateur surf/skate contest series in Southern California and is designed to give local surfers and skaters of all ages the opportunity to compete and excel.

Over 40 of the Top Brands in the Surf & Skate industry will be represented at the last event! Brands like Billabong, RVCA, Quiksilver, Roxy, Volcom, Salty Crew, Stance, Vuori, Vissla, O’Neill, Melin, Roark, and many more will be there with tons of games, freebies, fun and excitement to add to the finale.

SURF

The AM Slam Surf Series portion of this event will host 6 different divisions for boys and girls of all ages and skill. There’s $5,000 up for grabs in the Pro/Am division, and tons of prizes, trophies and bragging rights to be handed out to the rest of the field.

SKATE

There will be a $5,000 BEST TRICK Pro-Am Skate Event on a custom course from Keen Ramps featuring replicas of some classic 90’s era street spots. See a sneak-peek of the skate course below.

There will be 5 separate $1,000 best trick contests on each feature for a total of $5,000 in cash! The Mission Beach Massacre is going to be insane, so make sure you get registered now! MUSIC + FESTIVAL

Spectators enter the event for free and this year’s Sun Diego Am Slam Finale is one that should not be missed! Come on out for some great surfing, skating and plenty of freebies from all the event sponsors at the giant tent city.

Surfing will kick the day off promptly at 8:00 am, and the vendor tent city starting shortly after at 10:00 am. Skating will kick off mid-day at 11:00 am. Roark will be providing the music entertainment with bands throughout the day. Everyone is encouraged to come down to Belmont Park in Mission Beach and witness world class surfing and skateboarding right here in our own backyard!
